Ricky Lee Pearce, 62, of Rushville passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 14 at 3:20 p.m. at Mount Sterling Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mount Sterling, IL. Rick was born April 19, 1962 in Centralia, Ill to Mary and Richard Pearce. He married Tracy Lyn Maxfield August 4, 1984 in Centralia, IL. She survives, along with his mother, his son, Jared (Sarah) Pearce of Rushville, daughter Shea Pearce (David Crow) of Texas, and grandsons Atticus and Sawyer Pearce, with another grandchild on the way, sister Cindy (David) Hayes of Centralia, IL, brother Gary (Marsha) Pearce of North Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Rick devoted his life to the ministry until his death, working as the lead pastor of Sandoval Baptist Church in Sandoval, IL, bringing the word of God to countless souls over the years and growing youth programming in the church. He continued praying with residents during his retirement. He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals
