Wendell E. "Tuffy" Danner, 89 of Rushville, IL Passed away at 10:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025 at blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. He was born January 8, 1935 in Astoria, IL to the late Lester and Lola Shawgo Danner. Surviving is a daughter Karen Danner of Rushville, IL, a grandson Keith DeMoss & wife Michel of Rushville, IL, (2) great grandchildren Keaton Lee DeMoss & Kynzie Michel Demoss both of Rushville, IL, a sister Willadean Shaffer of Astoria, IL and several nieces, nephews, cousins & numerous friends. He is preceded in death by a grandson T.J. DeMoss, (1) sister Estyle " PeeWee" Gunter, (3) brothers Dewayne "Shorty Bill" Danner, Lorney Danner, and infant Willis Danner. Tuffy delivered papers and helped load delivery trucks as a young boy and started a painting business with his brother Lorney painting houses, barns and business in the surrounding counties in their spare time away from their full time jobs.
