JOYCE POTTS

Joyce Potts, 80 of Rushville, IL, formerly of Beardstown, IL passed away at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2024 at her residence. She was born July 3, 1944 in Beardstown, IL the daughter of the late Gilbert and Marjorie Ross Lebkuecher. She graduated from Beardstown High School Class of 1962. She graduated from Iowa State University where she was a cheerleader and received her Bachelor Degree. She worked for Globe Life Insurance Company in Chicago and transferred to Detroit, Michigan in the 1970s. Joyce moved back to Beardstown, IL to the family farm. She semi retired in 1980 and attended Western Illinois University where she received her Master Degree and latter taught at John Woods Community College. When she moved back to Beardstown she met up with an old friend, Claude Potts and they were married.
