Sharon Lindsey, 89, of Astoria, IL passed away at 8:10 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024 at her home. She was born on June 26 1934 in Sheldon's Grove, IL a daughter of the late Russell & Constance Crable Painter. She married Dale Lindsey on January 28, 1953 in the Astoria Methodist Church Parsonage. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2022. They are survived by (3) daughters; Cynthia Durham of Peoria, IL, Coleen Kalb & husband Joe of Peoria, IL, Melody Matthais & husband of Dirk of Itasca, IL, (2) sons; Kent Lindsey of Delavan, IL, Carroll Lindsey of Delaware, OH, (17) grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren. They were preceded in death by (1) son; John Lindsey, (1) granddaughter; Jayme Lindsey. They were members of the Sheldon's Grove United Methodist Church and former members of the San Jose United Methodist Church. Sharon was a floral designer for over 50 years.
